Victoria Waterfalls

Victoria Waterfalls is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. This waterfall is located on the Zambezi River, which at present forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. This waterfall has a width of approximately 1 mile (1.6 km), with a height of 128M (420 feet).

David Livingstone, Scottish explorer, visited this lake in 1855 and named it in the name of Queen Victoria, while its local name is Mosi-oa-Tunya, "thundering smoke." This waterfall is part of two national parks, Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in Zambia and Victoria Falls National Park in Zimbabwe, and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This waterfall is a major tourist attraction in South Africa.

Mount Everest

Mount Everest is the world's tallest mountain (when measured from sea paras.) Summit ridge marks the border between Nepal and Tibet; peak in Tibet. In Nepal, the mountain is called Sagarmatha (सगरमाथा, Sanskrit for "Forehead Sky") and in Tibetan Chomolangma or Qomolangma ("Mother of the Universe"), pronounced in Chinese 珠穆朗玛峰 (pinyin: Zhūmùlǎngmǎ Feng).

This mountain get their English name from the name of Sir George Everest. This name was given by Sir Andrew Waugh, Surveyor General of India-British, the successor of Everest. Everest is one of the Seven Summits of the world.

Size
Mathematician and surveyor from Bengal, was the first state as the highest peak Mount Everest through trigonometric calculations in 1852. This calculation is done using a theodolite from a distance of 150 miles away in India. Some Indians believe that these peaks should be named according

This mountain has a height of about 8850 m, although there are variations in terms of size (both Nepal and the Chinese government has not officially endorsed this measure, the height of Mount Everest is still considered to be 8848 m by them). Mount Everest was first measured in 1856 has a height of 8839 m, but is stated as 8840 m (29,002 ft). Additional 0.6 m (2 ft) shows that at that time the exact height of 29,000 feet will be considered as a rounded estimate. General assessment used at present is 8850 m that is obtained through reading Global Positioning System (GPS). Himalaya mountain is still rising higher due to tectonic plate movement area.

Mount Everest is a mountain whose top reaches the farthest distance from the sea face. Two other mountains are sometimes also referred to as "the highest mountain in the world" is Mauna Loa in Hawaii, which is the highest when measured from the base at the bottom of the sea, but only reaches a height of 4170 m above sea paras and Mount Chimborazo in Ecuador, a peak 2150 m higher than the earth's center than Mount Everest, because the Earth's equator mengembung in the region. However, Chimborazo only reached an altitude of 6272 m above sea face, so that not even the highest peak in the Andes.

Basic deepest in the ocean deeper than the height of Everest: the Challenger Deep, located in the Mariana Trench, so if the mountain in the Himalayas to put in it, there are nearly 1.6 km of water covering it.

Great Barrier Reef

Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest collection of coral reefs which consists of approximately 3,000 reefs and 900 islands, which stretches 2,600 km. These reefs are located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland in northeast Australia. Most of these coral areas, including parts that are protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park (Great Barrier Reef Marine Park).

Great Barrier Reef (CDE) can be seen from outer space and is sometimes referred to as the largest single organism in the world. In fact, it was formed from millions of tiny organisms, known as coral polyps (coral polyp). CDE was chosen as one of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.

Wealth biodiversity, warm and clear waters, and floating facilities affordability of the so-called live aboards, make this reef became a very popular tourist destination, especially for scuba divers. Many cities along the Queensland coast which offers tours to the coral sea, every day. Several continental islands have also been changed into the resort.

Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon is a cliff-steep ravine, carved by the Colorado River, in northern Arizona. This gulf is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and mostly located in the Grand Canyon National Park, one of the first national parks in the United States. President Theodore Roosevelt is one of the main supporters of the Grand Canyon area, visiting on several occasions to hunt mountain lion and enjoy the incredible scenery.

This gap, created by the Colorado River cutting a passage for millions of years, to a length of approximately 446 km, with width ranging from 6 to 29 km and with a depth of more than 1,600 m.Nearly than 2000 million years of Earth history has been truncated by the Colorado River and its tributaries layer after layer of sediment as the Colorado Plateau began to rise.

Grand Canyon was first seen by Europeans in 1540, García López de Cárdenas from Spain. The first scientific expedition to the canyon was led by U.S. Major John Wesley Powell in the late 1870s. Powell pointed to the sedimentary rocks exposed in the gap as "leaves in a great story book." However, long before that time, the region has been inhabited by Native Americans who built a residence in the walls of this chasm.
